About

Nick Purcell is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and completed his Sports Residency with Houston Methodist Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in 2016. Throughout his sports residency he had the opportunity to work with collegiate and professional athletes and spent most of his time with Rice University Athletics (baseball, football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track & field) and the Houston Dynamo and Dash soccer teams. As a former baseball and football player he is passionate about treating athletes and offering them the best care possible so they are able to return to their sport safely and perform at their full potential.

Nick believes in treating his patients with a hands-on approach that involves manual therapy and thoughtful exercise prescription to heal sports and orthopedic injuries while preventing future injury. With his experience in collegiate and professional sports he incorporates sports specific rehabilitation in order to achieve the optimal outcome for each patient. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist and enjoys participating in athletic activities such as triathlons, weightlifting, the MS150, and recreational sports.
