Children with physical disability have non curative circumstances. As a result treatments are intended to improve quality of life or prevent complication. Entering into decision making about non curative treatments requires that I understand how the child and family define quality of life and that the child and family understand the upsides and downsides of treatment decisions. If the best treatment choice for the child is going to be made the collaborating with the family and other interested providers is what is needed.
