Texas Children’s Pediatrics Expands Patient Care in Austin

News

Beansprout Pediatrics has become part of Texas Children’s Pediatrics, expanding its health care offerings to families in the Austin area. Through this partnership, patients and their caregivers will have greater access to the vast network of comprehensive services offered by Texas Children’s — ranked No. 2 among the best children’s hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

The same board-certified pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners who have cared for the community at existing Beansprout Pediatrics locations for the past 12 years will continue to do so and, in some instances, will expand their availability. These clinics will continue operating under their normal business hours, and the Bee Cave location will continue to offer a Saturday clinic.

“Beansprout Pediatrics has provided exceptional care to patients and their families in the Austin area for more than 10 years,” said Mark A. Wallace, President and CEO of Texas Children’s Hospital. “We are thrilled to partner with Beansprout Pediatrics’ outstanding clinical teams as we continue in our mission to deliver the right care, in the right place at the right time.”

The four Texas Children’s Pediatrics-Beansprout Pediatrics locations in west Austin — which remain open to current and new patients — offer a variety of services, including well-child care, sports physicals, immunizations and more.

Daniel Gollins, President of Texas Children’s Pediatrics, added: “Expanding Texas Children’s Pediatrics’ presence and best-in-class service throughout Central Texas has been an organizational goal of ours for many years. Austin families will have a Texas Children’s Pediatrics clinic nearby, regardless of where they live in the city. We are excited about these additional locations, which will enable us to offer exceptional primary pediatric care close to home for even more families.”

Further extending its footprint in Central Texas, the nation’s largest children’s hospital celebrated its new Texas Children’s Hospital North Austin Campus with a topping-out ceremony in late spring. Set to open its doors in the first quarter of 2024, the new hospital — located at 9835 North Lake Creek Parkway — will house pediatric care and women’s health services under one state-of-the-art roof to better serve patients and their families in the Austin and Central Texas areas. The 365,000-square-foot hospital will provide a wide breadth of services, including neonatal and pediatric intensive care, cardiovascular intensive care, and acute care, among other offerings — in addition to an onsite Emergency Center, Heart Center, Sleep Center, Fetal Center for advanced fetal interventions and fetal surgery with a special high-risk delivery unit, and a Texas Children’s Urgent Care clinic.
