Houston NPR with Dr. Seema Jilani: Treating children in warzones

Houston Matters invites Dr. Seema Jilan to share about the misconceptions over the jobs humanitarian workers perform in war zones. Dr. Jilan talks about learning from her collegues who are from different areas and  are used to  warzone conditions. She also shares personal experiences from treating children and even her own daughter in war zone areas; with various limitations like equirment and number of care team members. Dr. Jilan ends with gives insight on her assistance with being the inspiration for and giving background context to a doctor in the HBO drama "The Pitt".
