FOX26 with Adair Winget and Shelby Strauser: Pet Appreciation Week

For Pet Appreciation Week, Fox 26 highlighted two very special dogs with important jobs at Texas Children's.

Melman and Crosby are full-time facility dogs who work alongside Child Life Specialists Adair Winget and Shelby Strauser to help patients cope with hospitalization, procedures, and some of the toughest moments they may face.

Melman works in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, while Crosby supports patients and families in acute care. Together, these highly trained dogs provide goal-oriented therapeutic interventions and emotional support for patients and their families.
