Fox 26 with Kaitlyn Goodson: From patient to Medical Assistant – Recognizing Medical Assistants Week

Kaitlyn Goodson, Medical Assistant in the Heart Center, shared her inspiring story with Fox 26. Born with Tetralogy of Fallot, she had her first of twelve surgeries at Texas Children's when she was only 3 weeks old. Then she decided to become a Medical Assistant and work in the same place where she was treated as a child. Even more, she's still a patient: she's now seen in the Texas Children's Adult Congenital Heart Disease clinic, a unique specialized center providing lifelong care for adults who were born with heart diseases.
