REDIAL - Reducing Disparities in Acute Leukemia
REducing Disparities in Acute Leukemia (REDIAL)
The objective of the REDIAL consortium is to reduce population-based health outcome differences among children and adolescents with acute lymphoblastic leukemia by identifying genetic and environmental factors that contribute to adverse outcomes, from diagnosis through survivorship.
REDIAL is a National Cancer Institute-supported Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) that is dedicated to childhood leukemia. The goal for all SPOREs is to reduce cancer incidence and mortality and to improve survival and quality of life for cancer patients. REDIAL leverages existing data, infrastructure, and collaborations provided by the CPRIT-supported Adolescent and Childhood Cancer Susceptibility Service (ACCESS, PI Hoang) to support four projects, four cores, a Developmental Research Program, and a Career Enhancement Program. More information regarding this program can be found on the Specialized Programs of Research Excellence website.
