Get to know Tobias Schlingmann, MD, PhD
Dr. Schlingmann hails from Germany and graduated from Hamburg Medical School in 2004. He completed his residency in pediatrics, fellowship in pediatric cardiology, and senior fellowship in non-invasive cardiac imaging at Boston Children's Hospital & Harvard Medical School. Prior to residency, Dr. Schlingmann spent three years on basic science research in immunology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Schlingmann joined Texas Children's Hospital in 2015. His clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease in infants, children, and adolescents in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. He particularly enjoys working closely with patients and their families. In addition, Dr. Schlingmann specializes in non-invasive cardiac imaging, including echocardiography (transthoracic and transesophageal), fetal echocardiography, and cardiac MRI. His current research focuses on cardiovascular imaging in pediatric heart disease.
