Shazia Mohammad, M.D. is an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and a Pediatric Anesthesiologist for the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine for Texas Children’s Hospital. She is interested in minimizing risk of anesthetic exposure to brain development of neonates and children and maximizing medications that protect brain growth. She uses a multimodal approach to pain treatment including the use of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia to help optimize pain management. She strives to provide excellent care for her patients throughout the perioperative period.
Through Baylor College of Medicine, she enjoys teaching the future generation of anesthesiologists including fellows, residents, and medical students with didactic lectures and clinical teaching.
