Personal Statement
The excitement I get from being a physician is that I have the opportunity to do the three things I love the most in my professional life. There is the opportunity to take care of kids and help them get better to the best of my ability. Through carrying out research there is the possibility of improving those abilities and sharing the information with colleagues throughout the world. Finally, by being able to work with trainees, I have the pleasure of contributing in some small way to the development of the next generations of physician scientists who can make a positive impact on the lives of kids through their patient care and research contributions.
