Personal Statement
In her role as Assistant Vice President, Rhonda is responsible for the Texas Children’s Emergency Center at the Texas Medical Center, the Texas Children’s inpatient Acute Care units in the Texas Medical Center and inpatient behavioral health services. Rhonda has been part of the Texas Children’s family for more than two decades, after starting her career as a Professional Student Nurse. During her tenure, she has led numerous teams, opened new inpatient units and supported a variety of inpatient and outpatient teams.
Rhonda obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2003, her MBA at the University of Houston – Clear Lake, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, with a focus in Executive Leadership, from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2022.
