Michelle G. Roy, MPAP, PA-C

Michelle G. Roy, MPAP, PA-C is a physician assistant in Department of Pediatric Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital. She is one of several Advanced Practice Providers helping to meet the demands of a high-volume service and her responsibilities include seeing patients in an outpatient clinic, rounding and managing care for inpatients, responding to both inpatient and emergency room consults, and first assisting in the operating room. Her interests include, but are not limited to the following: management of patients born with craniofacial differences (such as cleft lip and palate) and breast reconstruction. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she is also the Research Coordinator for the Plastic Surgery Advanced Practice Providers at Texas Children’s Hospital. Other non-clinical duties include being the educational director for the division of plastic surgery, and coordinator for the annual Texas Children’s Hospital Camp Keep Smiling. This is a non-profit camp devoted to cleft lip and/or palate patients.

Michelle received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Texas A&M University. She went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Practice degree from the University of Southern California. Following graduate school, she completed a Physician Assistant Surgical Residency at Duke University and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Michelle’s professional memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants, and American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.
