Personal Statement
Mike Cubbage, MS, is the Assistant Director of the Basic and Translational Research Division at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers, Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. In this role, he is responsible for the laboratory operations of all research, clinical, core and lab related global programs of the largest academic pediatric hematology-oncology center in the country. Mike Cubbage has over 30 years of laboratory experience and 5 years experience in Global Health Programs. Before joining the Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers, Mr. Cubbage spent 5 years working at NASA. Prior to that he worked for 5 years in the biotechnology industry.
Mr. Cubbage graduated from Black Hills State University with a degree in Biology and went on to complete a Master’s degree from the University of Houston in Molecular Biology.
