Personal Statement
Leah Northcutt, a Physical Therapist at Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands, has worked in the field of pediatric physical therapy for more than 10 years, with the majority of her career focused in pediatric orthopedics before entering the pelvic health field in 2022. Leah is board-certified in pediatric physical therapy. She sees patients with a variety of diagnoses including orthopedic injuries, acute or chronic neuromuscular problems, genetic disorders, developmental delay, head injuries, spinal cord injuries and many others.
Prior to joining Texas Children’s, Leah was a physical therapist at Shriners Hospital for Children-Houston. She also partnered in a Houston-area pediatric practice providing pelvic health services and individualized physical therapy care to children recovering from illness or injury or coping with underlying diagnoses.
From Dr. Northcutt:
I am passionate about making meaningful improvements for patients with an emphasis on providing education to both patients and their families. I believe the child — not a diagnosis — should determine his or her future.
I am a native of Lake Jackson, Texas, moved to Houston in 2008 to complete a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and fell in love with the city and The Texas Medical Center.
