Carley Exiga, LMSW

Personal Statement

Carley is a bilingual licensed master social worker with a clinical concentration. She currently works on the Mobile Care Clinic for the Trauma and Grief Center providing undeserved communities with convenient access to care. On the mobile care clinic she implements evidence based screening and assessments.

Her desire to provide an emphatic environment influences her desire to provide communities with resources that would otherwise be unavailable. Her experience includes being trained in Restorative Discipline by the Texas Education Agency. She was awarded a grant by Lamar University to implement and research restorative dialogue at a local elementary and middle school. The impact of the program, in addition to her Education with the Global Leaders of Behavioral-Health has given her a holistic approach in the health care setting.
