Volunteer at The Woodlands

Adult Volunteer Program

The Volunteer Services Department at Texas Children's Hospital is devoted to cultivating a robust and dynamic program that prioritizes support, compassion, and exceptional service for the diverse community of children and families we serve. Our commitment extends beyond these families to encompass the dedicated staff of Texas Children's Hospital, ensuring that everyone experiences a positive environment. Based on hospital needs, we strive to offer enriching and inspiring volunteer opportunities that engage individuals in meaningful ways, allowing them to make a significant impact while developing their skills and experiences.

Short–term volunteer experiences, shadowing, internships, and observation opportunities are not offered through Volunteer Services. Summer Junior Program

The Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands Summer Junior Program is a prestigious and highly sought-after opportunity for high school students ages 15–17. Designed to foster personal growth and community service, this program allows students to volunteer at one of the nation’s leading pediatric hospitals, known for exceptional quality of care and a strong commitment to the HEART values of Humility, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, and Trust.

While the program does not include clinical exposure or shadowing of hospital staff, Junior Volunteers gain meaningful experience by supporting patients, families, and staff through a variety of non-clinical service assignments. Through this immersive environment, students develop essential interpersonal and professional skills, strengthen their understanding of the healthcare setting, and make a positive impact on the hospital community.

Applications for the 2026 Summer Junior Program are now closed. We are no longer accepting applications for the 2026 Summer Junior Program.

Please check this webpage in January 2027 for updated information about volunteer opportunities for high school students.
