Patient Preparation for Lab Testing
Patients can help to ensure that their lab tests are accurate by following pre-testing instructions carefully. Patients should alert specimen collection personnel of any deviations from pre-testing instructions given by the healthcare provider. Specimen collection may be deferred if a patient is not adequately prepared for a test.
Test results are sent directly from the laboratory to the health care provider. Please allow at least 48-72 hours for tests results to be received and reviewed. Some lab tests may require additional time to complete. For questions or concerns about test results, please contact your health care provider.
