Postpartum Care

Caring for your needs after birth

We understand how important it is for mother and baby to bond after delivery. That’s why we created a warm, nurturing environment that includes private mother-baby rooms, bedside exams and a dedicated nurse.

We take an evidence-based approach to care, which means that research has helped us to understand how important it is to keep a mother and her baby together in a private room designed with soothing surroundings to create a nurturing environment. Doctors examine you and your baby right at your bedside, allowing your family members to participate and learn along with you. When you and your baby stay together in the same room, you’ll be better able to read your baby’s cues for when it’s time to breastfeed.

Breastfeeding support

Your dedicated nurse will encourage skin-to-skin contact between you and your baby, which studies show helps breastfeeding go more smoothly. Your nurse will help you learn and practice feeding, bathing and changing your newborn. You can also sign up for childbirth and parenting classes for additional hands-on training and tips. Your dedicated nurse will be with you every step of the way and will answer any questions you have about caring for your baby.
