Craniofacial Clinic

What to Expect

Your child’s first visit to Texas Children’s Craniofacial Program will include a complete exam of the child’s head shape by a neurosurgeon and/or plastic surgeon. Our team has access to state-of-the-art technology, such as the 3DMD imaging system and the laser STAR scanner, and a wide range of resources to properly and accurately diagnose craniofacial issues.

After the exam, our team meets to discuss the patient’s situation and the best course of treatment in a multidisciplinary craniofacial program conference, where all providers involved decide on a customized treatment tailor-made for the child. Each family receives ongoing information from our program coordinator, nurses and doctors.

Our plastic surgeons, neurosurgeons, craniofacial orthodontist, physician assistants, speech pathologists and pediatrician work to ensure your child is not only treated for appearance and functionality but is also healthy mentally and thrives in school and in life. We are committed to continuing care and extensive follow-up with our patients.
