Histiocytosis: A comprehensive overview

Wellness

The Histiocytosis Program at Texas Children’s Cancer Center is one of the largest programs of its kind in the world and treats more than 150 new patients each year and follows more than 700 patients. In the video above, Dr. Kenneth McClain, Dr. Olive Eckstein and I provide an overview of diseases including Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) and Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). Topics discussed include: populations affected, disease symptoms, treatment options, improving outcomes, research opportunities and more.

We welcome any questions, and are very happy to help arrange clinical visits to Houston for management or consultation for children as well as adults with histiocytic disorders including LCH, HLH, juvenile xanthogranuloma (JXG), Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD), Erdheim-Chester disease (ECD), malignant histiocytosis or histiocytic sarcoma.
