The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting unites family and friends around the globe in lighting candles for one hour to honor the memories of sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren. As candles are lit at 7:00 pm local time, hundreds of thousands of people around the world commemorate and honor the memory of all children gone too soon. All families whose children were patients at Texas Children's Hospital are invited to this virtual ceremony. Spanish interpretation is available. Typically, this ceremony is held in person, however this is not possible due to the global pandemic this year. It is a family event, so please feel free to forward your link to any family members that would want to attend in your child's honor. We recommend allowing any other children in the family to watch if you feel they would benefit from this remembrance event.

After your RSVP is received, a private link will be e-mailed to you in early December. You can use this link to access the ceremony at the time of the event if you are not attending in person. It will be available for one hour after the event and then removed from the online platform. If you choose to attend virtually, a cre package will be sent to the address you provide with items for the ceremony.
