Personal Statement
My patient care philosophy is focused on providing comprehensive, compassionate and individualized treatment to pediatric patients with ear, nose, throat and head and neck conditions. I focus and listen attentively to both the child and their caregivers to understand their concerns, fears, and expectations — this helps me to customize my approach to suit their unique requirements. I place a particular emphasis on the emotional well-being of both the child and their family. I am committed to maintaining the highest standard of clinical care that aligns with the needs of the patient and their family. My care approach is firmly grounded in the latest medical research and continually updated evidence-based practices within the field of pediatric otolaryngology.
Clinical Interests: pediatric otolaryngology, airway disorders including laryngomalacia and subglottic stenosis, sleep apnea, management of acute and chronic sinusitis, hearing loss and chronic otitis media, congenital and acquired neck masses
Research Interests: pediatric airway management, pediatric sleep apnea
Please note that Dr. Altamimi will be working from Texas Children’s Hospital North Austin Campus, which opens in early 2024.
