Serene, MSPAS, PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant and is licensed by the Texas Medical Board. As a Surgical Hospitalist PA, she works alongside a team of Advance Practice Providers who cross-cover General, Orthopedic, ENT, Urology, Plastic Surgery sub-specialties. Her responsibilities include evaluating surgical emergencies in the Emergency Room, first-assisting in the operating room, and rounding and managing care for patients pre- and post-operatively.
Serene’s interests include taking unique and complex surgical consults in the EC, talking to children and their families about their treatment process, and being involved across the spectrum of pre- and post- operative care. She enjoys doing bedside repair of lacerations, participating in open abdominal surgeries, and seeing the smiles of children as they’re being discharged home after lengthy hospital stays.
