Get to know Aloysia Leisanne Schwabe, MD
Dr. Schwabe is the Section Chief of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Texas Children's Hospital, where she provides care to children with cerebral palsy and other disorders that result in limited function and gait difficulties. Her role allows her to evaluate children in multi-disciplinary settings in collaboration with colleagues from different specialties to formulate an individualized, unique plan that is customized for each patient. Dr. Schwabe also co-directs the Motion Lab at Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands. The lab provides state-of-the-art gait analysis for children with mobility challenges. “Providing comprehensive care to children with disabilities or functional limitations is incredibly rewarding as is getting to follow progress over time,” says Dr. Schwabe.
