About

Diana E. Guillen, MPAS, PA-C, is a physician assistant in the Department of Pediatric Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital. She began her surgical career in 2008 and was previously trained with Plastic Surgeons at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at the University Medical Center Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, TX. She then joined the Pediatric Plastic Surgery team at TCH in 2015 and has continued to build on her interest in caring for both pediatric patients and plastic surgery conditions. She currently treats and cares for patients who are affected with craniofacial anomalies (such as congenital cleft lips and palates, and craniosynostosis), pediatric breast related complications, and vascular anomalies. In addition, she also helps to provide care for much of the pediatric population in our region affected by hand trauma, fractures and complicated wounds.  Aside from her listed clinical responsibilities, she also helps to organize and lead the Advanced Practice Providers in the division.  Her tasks as social event commissioner for Department of Surgery APPs, involves the coordination of many team building events and festivities.

Diana received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame and then proceeded to obtain a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and medically licensed through the Texas Medical Board.

Diana’s professional memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants, and American Cleft Palate- Craniofacial Association.
