Public Health Pediatrics

Education and Training

The Division of Public Health Pediatrics offers free educational sessions and training for community organizations that we can tailor to meet the organization’s specific needs. Our educational programs support parents, teachers, counselors, childcare providers, health care professionals, social workers, nonprofit professionals, child welfare specialists, law enforcement, first responders and community members.

Topics include:

  • Adolescent mental health and suicide prevention
  • Child fatality prevention
  • Early brain development
  • Human trafficking 
  • Perinatal depression
  • Perinatal substance use
  • Positive Parenting
  • Recognizing, responding and preventing child abuse and neglect
  • Safe sleep
