  • Difficulty with conceiving

  • Unsuccessful treatment at other fertility clinics

Your first visit: What to expect

The first step in helping you build your family is to determine the cause of your infertility. During your initial consultation, you’ll meet with one of our fellowship-trained, board-certified reproductive endocrinology specialists. Your visit will include:

  • A review of your medical records
  • A detailed medical history
  • A physical exam
  • A 3D ultrasound to evaluate your uterus and ovaries, including your small follicle count (a measure of your remaining egg supply or “ovarian reserve”), the position of the uterus and the presence of fibroids
  • Lab work, including your anti-müllerian hormone (AMH) level, an indicator of your ovarian reserve
  • A referral for a hysterosalpingogram (HSG), an X-ray performed by our specialists and a radiologist to check for blockage in your fallopian tubes
  • Scheduling an appointment for semen (sperm) analysis if a male partner is involved

A personalized approach to care

Our comprehensive approach provides critical insight into three key factors that impact fertility:

  1. The health of your uterus and reproductive tract
  2. Your ovarian reserve (egg supply)
  3. Your partner’s sperm (or donor sperm)

After evaluating all your information and test results, your reproductive endocrinologist will meet with you and outline your diagnosis and treatment options. Together, you’ll determine a plan of care that best meets your medical, financial and personal needs, optimizing your chances of achieving a successful pregnancy.

Research-based treatments: Advantages for you
