Magee receives Dr. Cheryl C. Rodgers Excellence in Evidence-Based Practice Award

Director of Nursing at Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center, Kathleen Magee, was awarded the Dr. Cheryl C. Rodgers Excellence in Evidence-Based Practice Award from the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON).

Annually, the award honors an APHON member who has made significant contributions to evidence-based nursing care in pediatric hematology/oncology. Kathleen gained this recognition of her work on the use of photobiomodulation for stem cell transplant patients.

APHON is dedicated to promoting optimal nursing care for children, adolescents and young adults with cancer and blood disorders. APHON supports its members through education, research and advocacy, with the mission of fostering excellence in clinical practice.
