The Texas Children’s Hospital Administrative Fellowship is an 18-month program designed to provide emerging healthcare leaders with a comprehensive understanding of hospital operations, strategy, and executive decision-making.

Fellows will complete six various rotations, providing firsthand experience across the organization: These experiences will give:
Exposure to inpatient, ambulatory, and surgical operations at the Texas Medical Center campus.
Insight into growth strategy, partnerships, and service expansion across Texas Children’s locations.
Understanding of physician practice operations, clinical integration, and patient access initiatives.
Exposure to in enterprise governance, executive communication, and system-level strategy.
Engagement with Texas Children’s community hospitals and regional health initiatives.
Learning about managed care operations, population health, and payer strategy.
Opportunities to explore additional areas of interest.
Professional Development
Throughout the program, fellows will:
Lead high-impact projects that advance Texas Children’s strategic priorities.
Participate in executive-level and Board of Trustees meetings to gain system-wide perspective.
Receive structured mentorship and feedback to refine leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
