Social Stories

Some children and teenagers find it beneficial to have a written or picture-based guide, often referred to as a social story, for situations that are new or outside their regular routine. These social stories serve as helpful tools to provide insight into upcoming medical visits, procedures, or admissions, ensuring that children and teenagers have a clear understanding of what to expect. Social stories can be tailored to suit a wide range of ages and developmental levels. They can be reviewed a few days before the visit, on the day of the visit, during the journey to the facility, or even while at the medical center. Please select the appropriate story for your child, and stay tuned for additional social stories as we continue to expand our collection.
