Get to know Shellie Josephs, MD
I am committed to providing the highest quality of care to my patients, whether that be in the interpretation of their medical imaging or while providing procedural care. As a parent, I am empathetic to the fact that interactions within a health care organization can be confusing and scary, especially when a child is involved. My goal is to make the patient and their family feel at ease with their care decisions and understand the imaging or the procedure they are undergoing, as well as what are the next steps. I believe that active listening and engagement are key elements in helping to achieve the correct diagnosis and help patients reach their health goals.
Dr. Shellie Josephs is a diagnostic and interventional radiologist who specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in women and children. She is nationally recognized as an expert in diagnosis and treatment of vascular malformations, including lymphatic abnormalities and arteriovenous malformations. In addition, she is experienced in women's health treatments for uterine fibroids and pelvic venous congestion with embolization as well as the treatment for deep venous thrombosis.
Dr. Josephs is also nationally recognized as an expert in pediatric interventional radiology, bringing evidence-based care to children, including trauma care, venous access, percutaneous biopsies and interventions for abnormalities of the liver and kidneys.
She is a frequent presenter at national conferences in the field of pediatric interventional radiology and serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology and also holds a position on the Board of Directors for the Society of Pediatric Interventional Radiology.
