Personal Statement
I am dedicated to translational research in the field of human genetics. I am focused on understanding the mechanisms of genetic diseases with the aim of developing therapeutic interventions. I have been involved in translational research including clinical trials in inborn errors of metabolism and skeletal disorders. I have also been involved in understanding the consequences of loss or gain of genetic material on human health and disease. As one of the few internal medicine doctors trained in genetics, I take care of adults with various genetic disorders.
