His primary focus includes problems of the hip, including hip dysplasia, Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease, and slipped upper femoral epiphysis, emphasizing early diagnosis and intervention for optimized patient outcomes. Notably, he has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications centered on pediatric hip issues.
As a member of esteemed organizations (see list below), Dr. Castañeda remains at the forefront of advancements in his field. He played a pivotal role as a founding member of the International Hip Dysplasia Institute and is currently the Medical Director for this organization.
Personal Statement
I am originally from Mexico City, and after extensive training that took place in Mexico, the United States, and the United Kingdom, I established a successful practice in Mexico City.
After seven meaningful years in New York City, I now contribute to expanding global health care at Texas Children's, ensuring that all children receive quality care irrespective of their geographic location.
Beyond these professional endeavors, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children and exploring my passion for travel, golf, tennis and photography.
