Personal Statement
In pediatric epilepsy, seizures do not happen in isolation: beyond addressing the seizures, there are quality of life concerns and family interactions that all influence your child’s treatment plan. Seizures can be complicated, but we have incredible tools at our disposal to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of seizures (including surgical and non-pharmacologic options in addition to medications). Evidence-based medicine, collaborative teamwork, good communication, and utilization of technology help me to provide compassionate clinical care to all of my patients.
