Get to know Kathleen Kirksey, MD, FAAP
Dr. Kirksey is a board-certified general pediatrician who cares for infants, children and adolescents at Texas Children's Pediatrics Capital Pediatric Group. After earning her MD, she completed her pediatric residency in Oklahoma City where she also served as a chief resident. Throughout her schooling and training, she dedicated time to volunteering with underserved populations locally and globally.
She was thrilled to return to the Austin area in 2021 to join Texas Children's Pediatrics. She enjoys serving Austin families and finds her role very rewarding. She loves traveling, cheering for the Texas Longhorns and spending time with her family.
Personal Statement
It is an honor and a privilege to be a pediatrician. I enjoy being able to see children and families grow, and I love helping children reach their full potential. I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
