Dr. Cutitta approaches clinical care as a collaborative coach, learning to understand her patients and improve daily functioning with regard to health related behaviors. Dr. Cutitta works with the family unit, as well as the individual patient, to help improve quality of life, establish healthy habits, and work toward family and team goals. She relies on empirically-based interventions, working alongside medical colleagues to help deliver team-based care.
Personal Statement
I aim to provide the highest quality of care, including building patient centered goals and using evidence-based practice. I strive to help families be successful and resilient with managing heart disease.
Clinical Interests
Clinically, Dr. Cutitta specializes in the treatment of cardiac related mental health concerns, including adjustment to disease, device, and/or surgery, cardiac specific anxiety or depression, and LVAD/ transplant evaluation.

Research interests
Dr. Cutitta’s research interests include heart rate increase and physical activity avoidance in patients with cardiac conditions. She is also interested in the cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation process.
