Jocelyn Gomez, Psy.D., is an assistant professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and a pediatric psychologist at Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Gomez provides psychological services in English and Spanish to patients and families impacted by acute and chronic pain conditions.
Personal Statement
I am passionate about providing evidence-based treatments to improve the outcomes and enhance quality of life for youth with chronic pain. I implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and third-wave behavioral interventions including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I develop treatment plans that are culturally informed by incorporating family, cultural and social factors. Helping youth enhance quality of life through the improvement of social, emotional, and academic functioning is of utmost importance to me.
