Personal Statement
Dr. Elenberg is a national expert in cystinosis; in 1995 she received Cystinosis Foundation Award: "In rateful Recognition of Special Concern for and Outstanding Service to Children with Cystinosis", in 1998 she was the first to describe eating problems in cystinosis, and in 2009 she received a grant from the Cystinosis Research Network (CRN), to study quality of life in patients with cystinosis. She is currently a PI in multicenter study aimed at testing a new drug for cystinosis that will improve quality of life for patients with cystinosis. Dr Elenberg is interested in education having graduated in December 2011 from the University of Texas with Master in Education degree. This degree increased her knowledge and skills in teaching. She had given multiple letures on Cystinosis on national and international level. In 2011 she received Fulbright & Jaworski L. L. P. Faculty Excellence Award from Baylor College of Medicine, in the category of Teaching and Evaluation.
