Get to know Derek R. Linklater, MD, MEd
Dr. Linklater is a pediatric emergentologist who employs values-based leadership to improve Emergency Center administration and operation, medical education, and the provision of quality patient-focused care. He has a breadth of clinical, administrative and educational expertise developed over years of dedicated service. His knowledge, guidance and mentorship have helped to successfully elevate the education and training of hundreds of residents, attending physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
Dr. Linklater volunteers with the American Board of Emergency Medicine as an oral board examiner, item writer, and case developer. In addition to his clinical work in the Emergency Center and medical leadership duties, he maintains an interest in procedural sedation, observation medicine, and operational optimization.

I am deeply committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to my patients and their families through a holistic approach that includes active listening and engagement. I believe health care is a partnership, and I strive to treat patients and families as individuals, collaborating with them and personalizing their care to help them achieve their health care goals.
