Personal Statement
Debra joined the developmental physical therapy team at Texas Children’s Hospital in 2017. She has over 30 years of experience in physical therapy with pediatrics. Previously, Debra worked at Blythedale Children’s Hospital in the New York Metropolitan area and served as a senior supervisor. She has her certification in Neuro-developmental Treatment (NDT), Certified in extremely low birth weight neonates (C-ELBW), L1 Schroth-based certification, and is a Certified KinesioTaping Practitioner (CKTP) having taken advanced course work. Debra has worked with preemies and children up to adulthood in the school, outpatient clinics, and with home health.
Personally, Debra has adopted 7 children with special needs including cerebral palsy and leg amputee. She has coached 5 of her children in Paralympic track and field. They hold several national records including the 400m track event, shot put, and discus for their age groups and weight lifting for their weight class. The Sarich children also complete in wheelchair basketball, tennis, para archery, and para swimming.

Cerebral Palsy, Medically and physically challenged children, syndromes, amputees, dwarfism, and anthrogryposis
Research Interests:
Kinesiotaping in the neurologically impaired child, efficacy of Schroth based exercises with a neurological diagnosis, and strength training in the neurologically impaired child.
*Schroth Therapy:
*C1 and L1 certified therapists are able to treat idiopathic adolescent scoliosis
*C2 certified therapists are able to treat adolescent scoliosis, post-surgical patients, adult scoliosis, and treat with group sessions
