Personal Statement
In addition to general pediatric otolaryngology, my primary interest is in pediatric head and neck surgery including acquired and congenital head and neck masses, head and neck cancers, and thyroid disease as well as in the head and neck sequellae of immunocompromise and cancer treatment. My goal is to bring the highest quality care to each individual child as a partner with their family. To that end, I lead a high volume, focused, multidisciplinary Pediatric Head and Neck Tumor Team in collaboration with colleagues from Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery, Speech and Language Pathology, Oral Surgery, and Oncology. I am also a Pediatric Thyroid Surgeon in Texas Children’s Pediatric Thyroid Tumor Program where I collaborate with a team including several other high volume thyroid surgeons and a focused team of thyroid experts from oncology, endocrinology, diagnostic and interventional radiology, genetics, and nuclear medicine.
