Get to know Brinkley K. Moore (nee Sandvall), MD, FAAP
Dr. Moore specializes in pediatric hand and reconstructive microsurgery. Her clinical interests include congenital and acquired hand and upper extremity differences, brachial plexus birth injuries, extremity reconstruction after trauma, oncologic reconstruction for bone and soft tissue tumors, peripheral nerve surgery, and cerebral palsy. She collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams to help provide comprehensive, high-quality care for patients. Dr. Moore is thankful to be part of the Texas Children’s Hospital team where she finds her work to be an ideal combination of her abilities, passion, and calling.
Dr. Moore received her Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University in Waco, TX and her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She completed her residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She then completed a Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, followed by a Pediatric Hand and Microvascular Surgery Fellowship at The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
She is board certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery and received the board’s Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand.
