Get to know Angela Blocker, LMFT
Angela Blocker is a marriage and family therapist who specializes in the assessment and intervention of children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional challenges in the context of their family units. She has expertise in family trauma and providing care for multi-stressed families. Angela uses her training in family systems theory, acceptance commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to treat anxiety, depression,and behavioral issues in children and adolescents. Through her therapeutic work in education, Angela studied best practices and evidence-based interventions for successful treatments for school-aged children. Angela's current interests include exploring the regulation of threat and defensive reactions in young clients by promoting attachment between children and their caregivers.

I bring a nonjudgmental compassionate approach to care that is collaborative in nature. I tailor care to the individual or family while gaining a deep understanding of their desires for change. Together, we build a professional clinical relationship built on trust, respect and honesty as we explore their thoughts, feelings and patterns of behavior to achieve goals based on their values.
