About

Athena D. Krasnosky MSN, ARNP, CPNP is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital.  She is the Primary Care Provider for the Cleft and Craniofacial Multidisciplinary Team.  She has a special interest in the growth and development of her patients with cleft lip/palate and craniofacial abnormalities.  She is also involved in case management and works together with other members of the Cleft team to provide the best possible care and allow for better outcomes.  She believes all children deserve the same opportunities and have the chance to succeed in life.

She received her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Nursing at the University of South Alabama.  She is Board Certified with the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board of Nursing.   She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. Athena has been a pediatric nurse for 17 years and has been involved in all aspects of pediatric care.  Prior to working as a Nurse Practitioner, Athena worked as a nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Units at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida and Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
