Get to know Amir Pezeshkmehr, MD
Dr. Pezeshkmehr is a board certified Interventional Radiologist at Texas Children’s Hospital and the Women’s Pavilion, and Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine. He was the director of the Pediatric Interventional Radiology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital prior to joining TCH. Dr. Pezeshkmehr’s interests include all aspects of adult and pediatric interventional radiology with special interest in interventional oncology, vascular anomalies, arterial and venous procedures, transplant interventions and women’s interventions. He is a member of the editorial board of journal of vascular and interventional Radiology and also the Journal of Pediatric Radiology. He enjoys playing tennis, swimming, skiing, kayaking, cooking and spending time with his wife and their twins.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Pezeshkmehr’s clinical interests include caring for both pediatric and adult patients. He has special interest in the treatment of vascular anomalies, such as arteriovenous, venous and lymphatic malformations, interventional oncology (tumor ablation, and trans-arterial chemoembolization), management of acute and chronic venous thrombosis, and women’s interventions such as uterine fibroid embolization, and management of pelvic congestion.
Research interests
Dr. Pezeshkmehr’s research includes diagnostic and treatment modalities of vascular anomalies, and implementation of new tools and techniques in interventional oncology and chronic venous disease.
