Multiple opportunities are available at Texas Children's Hospital for NNPs to participate in research or scholarship activities.
NNPs are part of many of the clinical research projects ongoing in our newborn center, and have authored papers and presented their findings at national conferences. NNPs are encouraged to participate in quality improvement initiatives in the NICU. In collaboration with Baylor College of Medicine, NNPs also play a key role in evaluating and modifying our guidelines of care annually based on the latest evidenced based practice. Many NNPs co-author chapters in collaboration with Neonatologists.
