Neonatology

 Education

As part of an academic center, our NNPs provide neonatal education to health care providers including NNP Students, Nurses and Physicians. Texas Children's Hospital is one of the nation’s largest teaching institutions with the NNP group helping to educate and train NNP students along with new graduate NNPs.

NNPs also play an active role in education through the state-of-the-art Simulation Center which fosters growth of novice & expert NNPs through multi-disciplinary hands-on training in a realistic environment. The simulation lab enhances staff confidence, promotes team work, and increases patient safety during critical scenarios. NNPs help coordinate and lead simulation scenarios for all members of our clinical team to help improve outcomes in our neonatal population.
