Labor and Delivery

Meet Our Team

You will come into contact with many dedicated team members at Texas Children's Pavilion for Women during your stay. Each person plays an important role in providing children and families with the highest quality healthcare.

Who you'll meet

Your nurse is a member of your health care team. They are responsible for the treatment, safety and recovery of patients. Nurses perform a wide range of clinical and non-clinical functions necessary to the delivery of health care.

Your PCA works in assisting the RN by taking vital signs, daily weights and providing any other care that the patient needs.

Your Unit Clerk (UCA) works in assisting the RN and PCA by answering the phones and nurse call.

Care managers coordinate benefits and services for your family throughout the continuum of your visit. Care managers work closely with the healthcare team and other providers to ensure that patient care needs are addressed prior to discharge. Please call 832-824-2925 to speak with a care manager.

Registered dietitians and diet technicians make up the clinical nutrition services at the Pavilion for Women. They work closely with the healthcare team to make certain that your nutrition needs are met. If you wish to visit with a dietitian while you are hospitalized, have your nurse contact the dietitian or call 832-826-3676 to schedule an appointment.
