Ceci’s Patient Story

Ceci was diagnosed in 2018 with a brain tumor that was causing a life-threatening buildup of fluid in her brain. She underwent surgery to remove most of the tumor, and she’s doing very well. Now, she’s focused on giving back and bringing joy and comfort to other patients, because she’s been in their shoes. She founded the Ceci Cares Foundation, which provides toys to patients at Texas Children’s Hospital, and she continues to exceed her goals each year. Ceci will start high school next year, and she hopes to play on her high school golf team and someday become a professional golfer. Ceci views golf both as physical therapy and as her escape – the place where she can forget about any stresses in her life and focus only on hitting the golf ball.
