Overview

Please join us for an educational opportunity to discuss the latest developments in Neonatal Care. This summit will provide a day of collaboration and outreach education to Level 2-4  NICU nurses in the 150-mile surrounding area.

Continental breakfast and box lunch are provided.

Conference Objectives

  • To enhance the quality of care provided to neonates in our local and regional community by providing continuing education to the NICU care delivery team
  • To foster relationships with outlying facilities and share Texas Children’s Hospital community NICU's scope of services to enhance access and care coordination for neonates
  • To provide outreach education to enhance the care of neonates in alignment with Level 4 designation responsibilities
  • Develop a conference based on a neutral cost model, or that creates a financial margin that can be directed towards funding of future continuing education or professional development events for the NICU staff at the Woodlands campus
  • Provide downstream revenue for the Woodlands NICU through an increase in external transfer rate by better relationship with referring hospitals/staff

Nursing Continuing Professional Development

Learning Outcome

After the conference, the neonatal or pediatric nurse will have new knowledge they can apply to their practice to improve care and patient outcomes for neonatal patients as evidenced by listing at least one concept learned.
